  • The PGZC1250 is a vertical, flat-plate, fully automatic scraper bottom discharge centrifuge developed specifically for the starch industry. With all product-contact parts in sanitary stainless steel and a PLC-controlled batch cycle, it provides high-efficiency dewatering, washing and classification of wheat, corn, potato, cassava, pea and modified starch slurries. The design combines high yield, low residual moisture and easy cleanability to meet modern food-grade and GMP requirements.

Process Characteristics (Technical Analysis):

(1) Advanced Sanitary Architecture (GMP Compliant)

The fully enclosed flat-plate structure and stainless-steel product zone adopt a crevice-free, self-draining geometry. This facilitates rapid washing and visual inspection, supporting validated cleaning procedures in food-grade and GMP facilities.

(2) Intelligent Automation & Control

A robust PLC + VFD system supervises the entire batch cycle, including feed rate, wash steps, spin speed and scraping sequence. Recipe management enables automatic optimisation for different starch types and DS levels, while DCS connectivity allows central monitoring and data logging.

(3) High-Yield Discharge System

The hydraulic dual-scraper executes a programmable multi-step scraping cycle, reducing residual cake thickness and maximising product recovery. This design is especially beneficial where starch yield is a critical KPI.

(4) Superior Separation & Low Yellow-Liquor Carry-Over

Dedicated feed, wash and discharge paths with separated mother-liquor and cake outlets limit cross-contamination between phases, minimise yellow-liquor carry-over and improve whiteness and purity of the final starch.

(5) Stable & Quiet Operation

The flat-plate base with four-point hydraulic vibration damping and low centre of gravity ensures smooth running, reduced noise and minimal dynamic loads transmitted to the plant floor, even under high-G operation.

 

Typical industries and products:

Native Starch Production: Dewatering and classification of wheat, corn, potato, cassava and pea starch slurries. Typical duty: feed DS 32–45%; after separation the heavy phase reaches ≥60% DS, while the light phase can be reduced to ≤25% DS, depending on process layout.
Multi-Stage Wet-Milling Separation: A-starch separation, B-starch recovery and process-water clarification or recycling in grain deep-processing plants.
Starch Derivatives & Sweeteners: Production lines for glucose, maltose and fructose syrups where high purity, low ash and hygienic design are essential.
Modified & Specialty Starches: Enclosed, contamination-free batch processing of cationic, pre-gelatinised and other high-value functional starches for food and industrial applications.

 

Working Principle:

Step 1 Feeding: basket accelerates to the set speed; starch slurry enters and cake starts forming on the filter media.
Step 2 Dewatering/Filtration: liquid passes through cloth and perforations; solids build a uniform cake.
Step 3 Washing + Spin-drying: one or more programmed wash steps, then high-speed spinning to the target dryness/DS.
Step 4 Scraper discharge: basket decelerates to scraping speed; hydraulic scraper peels cake layer-by-layer to the bottom outlet.
Step 5 Cycle reset: after discharge, the machine resets automatically and starts the next batch.
