The GLZ-FGD Series is a vertical, fully enclosed automatic peeler centrifuge system engineered for limestone–gypsum wet FGD gypsum dewatering. The skid-mounted package integrates slurry feeding, clarification, multi-stage (often counter-current) washing, spin-drying, and automatic cake discharge in a compact footprint. It helps produce a stable gypsum cake with controlled moisture and impurity levels, suitable for conveying, storage, or sale as a by-product.
Key Feature 1 — High Efficiency & Low Operating Cost
Short full-speed cycle and high-G dewatering deliver strong throughput and stable cake moisture performance. Optimized wash-water distribution reduces water consumption while maintaining washing effectiveness. Direct-drive / optimized mechanical design helps lower maintenance workload.
Key Feature 2 — Closed, Corrosion-Resistant Process Housing
Fully enclosed casing reduces odor and aerosol escape and supports cleaner, safer operation. Corrosion-resistant selections are available for hot, mildly acidic and abrasive gypsum slurries.
Key Feature 3 — Multi-Stage Washing for Chloride/Salt Control
Staged washing (often in counter-current mode) improves removal of soluble salts and chlorides. Final targets depend on feed properties and wash scheme; we propose realistic targets after reviewing your data.
Key Feature 4 — Fully Automatic 24/7 Operation (PLC/DCS Ready)
PLC/DCS-based control with interlocks for feed, vibration, torque/cake load, and cover position supports continuous unattended operation and easy integration into plant FGD control systems.
Key Feature 5 — Compact Skid-Mounted Layout
Centrifuge, filtrate collection, wash-water distribution and utility piping are integrated on a single skid, reducing civil works and site installation time while simplifying inspection and maintenance.
(1) Excellent dewatering + effective washing: High-G cake formation plus staged washing enables efficient removal of soluble impurities with stable dewatering results (final performance depends on PSD, solids wt% and wash ratio).
(2) Robust mechanical design for harsh slurry: Options for corrosion/abrasion resistance to match chloride level, temperature and solids content.
(3) Automation & safety: Interlocked operation reduces operator exposure and ensures stable continuous running.
(4) Cost efficiency: Optimized drive and acceleration profile help reduce mechanical loss and maintenance frequency.
(5) Skid package concept: Factory pre-assembly and testing shortens commissioning time and reduces site risk.
Power generation (coal/biomass): limestone–gypsum wet FGD gypsum dewatering and washing
Metallurgy & smelting: scrubbing by-product gypsum-type slurries, complex salt systems
Chemical & fertilizer: by-product gypsum requiring intensive washing and stable moisture control
Construction materials: gypsum slurry conditioned for downstream processing or sale
During operation, FGD gypsum slurry is fed into the rotating basket lined with filter cloth. Under centrifugal force, solids build up to form a cake while liquid passes through as filtrate. Wash liquor is distributed in one or multiple stages (often counter-current) to reduce soluble salts and chlorides. The basket then accelerates to dewatering speed to reach the target moisture. Finally, the machine decelerates to peeling speed and a hydraulic scraper peels the cake off the cloth; solids discharge automatically through the chute. Optional flushing/CIP can be programmed to maintain stable operation and cleanliness.
