The LLW Series is a high-performance, continuous horizontal screw discharge filter centrifuge designed for the efficient solid-liquid separation of free-draining crystalline slurries. By integrating filtration, washing, and dewatering into a single continuous process, this machine delivers superior product quality with low energy consumption. It is the ideal solution for industries requiring high solids throughput and minimal residual moisture.
Key Feature 1 — Continuous operation with high throughput
Continuous feeding, filtration, washing, dewatering and discharge are completed in one machine, making the LWL ideal for large-capacity production lines and stable 24/7 operation.
Key Feature 2 — Low residual moisture and high solids recovery
The combination of high centrifugal force and optimized solids conveying path allows effective liquid removal while maintaining high solids recovery and consistent cake quality.
Key Feature 3 — Efficient cake washing with low wash-liquid consumption
Built-in washing pipes and optional multi-stage washing arrangements provide effective displacement washing, helping reduce mother-liquor residue and improve final product purity.
Key Feature 4 — Stable conveying under fluctuating feed conditions
Hydraulic, planetary or cycloidal differential-drive options provide strong torque reserve and stable cake conveying, even when feed concentration or solids load changes.
Key Feature 5 — Durable structure for corrosive and abrasive service
Key wet parts can be manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, duplex grades, titanium or other special alloys. Wear-resistant protection is also available for abrasive applications.
(1) Continuous separation with integrated filtration and conveying
The LWL Series performs continuous solid–liquid separation by combining a rotating filter screen with an internal scroll conveyor. This design eliminates the repeated batch cycles of conventional equipment and is well suited for uninterrupted industrial production.
(2) Thin cake filtration for effective washing and low moisture
Because the cake layer formed on the screen is relatively thin, washing liquid can penetrate more effectively, improving impurity removal and helping achieve lower final cake moisture.
(3) Flexible screen and cone-angle selection
Different screen structures and cone angles can be selected according to crystal size, washing duty and discharge behavior, improving adaptability to different products and operating conditions.
(4) Broad differential-drive options
Cycloidal, planetary and hydraulic differential systems are available to match different solids properties, feed concentrations and conveying torque requirements.
(5) Easy integration into automated process lines
The centrifuge can be supplied with local control, PLC/HMI or DCS integration, allowing connection to upstream crystallizers, reactors, dissolvers, wash systems and downstream dryers or conveyors.
Chemical & Inorganic Salts: Suitable for sodium chloride, ammonium chloride, sodium sulfate, ammonium sulfate, potassium sulfate, soda ash, phosphates and other free-draining crystalline salts.
Food & Additives: Applicable to crystalline food products and additives such as MSG, amino acids, organic acid salts, sweeteners and other products requiring washing and dewatering.
Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemicals: Suitable for pharmaceutical intermediates, fine-chemical crystals and products requiring cleaner separation, lower mother-liquor residue and controlled washing performance.
Environmental & Mining: Used for mineral crystals, salt recovery, crystallized by-products, brine treatment and selected wastewater crystallization duties.
Agrochemicals: Applicable to fertilizer intermediates, pesticide intermediates and other crystalline agrochemical products requiring continuous washing and dewatering.
Slurry is continuously fed through the feed pipe into the inner cavity of the screw and then enters the rotating screen bowl near the small end of the drum. Under centrifugal force, the liquid phase passes through the filter screen and is discharged as filtrate, while solids are retained on the screen surface to form a cake. Due to the relative differential speed between the screw and the drum, the solids are conveyed continuously from the small end toward the large end of the drum. During this transport, further dewatering takes place. If washing is required, wash liquid is introduced through the built-in washing system to displace mother liquor and improve product purity. Finally, the dewatered solids are discharged continuously from the large end of the drum, completing continuous solid–liquid separation.
